How cover images are stored
ShilosSilo is a personal collection manager. Provider-sourced cover images are not stored or hosted by ShilosSilo: each such cover is displayed by hotlinking directly to the third-party provider that serves it, so the image bytes are delivered by that provider, not by us. If you instead upload your own cover or card photo, that image is stored by ShilosSilo (in our Cloudflare R2 storage) and served back to you by the app. When you add or edit an item you affirmatively choose which cover to display from provider-supplied candidates, upload your own photo, or use a plain text tile.
Where cover images come from
The cover chooser offers candidates from these third-party providers:
- Open Library
- Google Books
- Cover Art Archive
- TMDB
- BoardGameGeek
- TVMaze
- IGDB
- Scryfall
- TCGdex
- Pokémon TCG
A cover adopted from an item-lookup result may also be hotlinked from other allowlisted third-party image hosts, including Amazon (m.media-amazon.com). These are displayed the same way: hotlinked from the provider, not stored by us.
Copyright belongs to the publishers
All cover artwork remains the property of its respective publishers, studios, labels, and rights holders. ShilosSilo claims no ownership of, and asserts no rights in, any cover image it displays. Provider trademarks and artwork are shown for identification and reference only.
Registered DMCA agent
ShilosSilo's designated DMCA agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (registration no. DMCA-1075244). See the DMCA Designated Agent Directory.
Request a takedown
If you are a rights holder (or authorized to act for one) and believe a cover image displayed by ShilosSilo infringes your copyright, send a takedown request to:
Please include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- The specific cover image or item URL in ShilosSilo.
- Your contact information and authority to act for the rights holder.
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
We aim to review and act on valid takedown requests within 48 hours. For a hotlinked provider cover, removing it means removing the reference from the item. The original image continues to live on the provider's own servers. For a photo uploaded to ShilosSilo, we delete the stored image itself from our storage.
